Reducer:Reducers are, as their name suggests, moldings that transition from one floor to a floor of “reduced” height. Using reducers allows multiple floor types within a home to co-exist in an aesthetically pleasing way. Reducers can be installed by applying adhesive into the seams of the tongue and groove as well as applying beads of glue to the underside of the molding piece.
